Brian Moore grew up on a farm near Owen Sound, Ontario, on the traditional territories of The Peoples of the Three Fires known as Ojibway, Odawa, and Bodéwadmi Nations. He has written short fiction most of his life. To pay the bills, he worked in a variety of careers, including insurance, research, tech support, business analysis, and project management. He owes a debt to the many teachers and writers he has met along the way who encouraged him to never settle for easy words, especially Barb Elford and Dr. Hugh MacLachlan: rest in peace.
